Dancers registering for the following workshops must be fully experienced in the basic figures and must master progression in longways duple and triple minor set.<\/h4>\n

In the early 18th<\/sup> century, the Playford family had long lost its monopoly in publishing country dances and many new collections were published. We\u2019ll see a few dances from that period,\u00a0\u00a0 some of them revised by modern choreographers<\/h4>\n

This workshop’s progamme : 3 historical danses and one modern dance on music by Oscar Straus\u00a0 (2 set dances and 2 longways in wich figures 1 triple minor set)\u00a0: The Gallant Entreprise<\/em><\/strong> \/ Wright (1740) – The Happy Captive<\/em><\/strong> \/ Charles et Samuel Thompson\u00a0 (circa 1770) – Lover\u2019s Luck<\/em><\/strong> \/ Braye ( 1699)- La Ronde de l\u2019Amour <\/em><\/strong>\/ Pat Shaw.<\/h4>\n

Quand commence le 18\u00e8me<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, le monopole de la famille Playford,\u00a0 en rapport avec la diffusion de la contredanse, a fait long feu. Les nouvelles parutions foisonnent. Nous \u00e9tudierons quelques danses extraites de cette nouvelle litt\u00e9rature, parfois remani\u00e9es ou r\u00e9\u00e9crites par des chor\u00e9graphes modernes.<\/h4>\n
